MDT Technologies Philippines Establishes Robotics Manufacturing Base at LIMA Estate

New 1.86-hectare facility expands LIMA Estate’s manufacturing base and is expected  to generate around 200 jobs by 2028

Lipa-Malvar, Batangas, Philippines – Aboitiz Economic Estates, the developer and operator of LIMA Estate, has formally turned over a 1.86-hectare industrial lot to MDT Technologies Philippines Inc., marking another step in the company’s expansion plans as it establishes a manufacturing base in the country for the production of the Piebon Companion Robot.

The contract signing and lot handover were held on September 15, 2026, following the ceremonial groundbreaking for the project on August 25, 2026. With the new manufacturing facility slated to be operational by the first quarter of 2028, it is expected to generate around 200 jobs, contributing to the growing employment within the LIMA Estate and the broader Batangas region.

MDT Technologies Philippines Inc. is a newly established Philippine entity of Taiwan-based CQS. Precision Die Casting Inc. – a precision metal components manufacturer serving sectors from automotive, EV and mobility, motorcycle, agricultural machinery, and other industrial applications.

Supporting Manufacturing Growth Through an Integrated Industrial Environment

CQS has an international presence with manufacturing plants in Dong Nai, Vietnam, and overseas warehousing that supports customers in the United States. Its capabilities span aluminum and zinc die casting, CNC machining, stamping, surface treatment, and assembly.

Adding robotics to the diverse industrial base in LIMA Estate,  MDT Technologies Philippines joins an established ecosystem supported by reliable infrastructure, utilities, estate services, and access to a growing workforce. Together these operating fundamentals provide manufacturers such as CQS with a ready platform that streamlines the path from investment decision to construction and eventual operations.

For Aboitiz Economic Estates, supporting investments such as MDT Technologies Philippines goes beyond providing industrial land. It offers companies a proven integrated model designed to scale businesses backed by reliable infrastructure already in place.

“We are pleased to welcome MDT Technologies Philippines to LIMA Estate as it takes this important step toward establishing its manufacturing operations in the country. Our role is to provide a strategic location for businesses to move from investment decisions to operations and further grow their presence in the country,” said Rafael De Mesa, Aboitiz Economic Estates President and CEO.

LIMA Estate is a 1,100-hectare PEZA-registered economic estate. Originally established as an industrial park, it has now evolved into an integrated destination that also provides commercial, residential, institutional, and lifestyle components supported by infrastructure and estate services.

Building Capacity for the Next Phase of Manufacturing

MDT Technologies Philippines’ planned facility further diversifies manufacturing activity within LIMA Estate. As the firm progresses to operations, Aboitiz Economic Estates remains focused on enabling investments that contribute to the continued development of the township as an integrated economic platform for expanding businesses.
